About La Rosticceria
Here at La Rosticceria, we believe it is possible to eat well in spite of the hectic pace of our daily lives. Our goal is to provide an alternative to the fast food chains and highly processed foods by offering a healthier and more delicious option for meals to go. We believe in quality in every aspect of our business, from the food to the service. We strive to set a higher standard and we are firmly committed to maintaining our standards by providing the best food made with the best ingredients.
In Italy, a rosticceria (pronounced roast-eech-a-ria) is a small store that sells roasted meats, pasta and other accompaniments for dinner. Here you will find all that and more. It's the perfect solution to the dinner dilemma for busy families with no time to cook.
Quality is the most important ingredients in everything we make! We cook everything in house, using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. We use no transfats or high fructose corn syrup in our products. Our meats and vegetables are grilled or roasted; we don't deep fat fry anything. Our baked goods are made with King Arthur flour, made in Vermont and has no foreign gluten or additives added to it. We use many artisan and imported specialty products in the foods we make. Our deli meats are of an exceptional quality. We use authentic Prosciutto di Parma, Italian salami and cheeses, and smoked meats from a New England smokehouse. We use Connecticut grown produce whenever possible. Our soups, pasta sauces, desserts as well as many of our sandwich condiments are made from scratch here at La Rosticceria.
Chef Antonio Greco
Chef Antonio has over 20 years experience as an executive chef for numerous Italian restaurants in Florence, Italy and Connecticut, including La Strada and Terra in Greenwich, Via Sforza in Norwalk and Carmine's Tuscan Grill in New Haven. He received his culinary training from the Parco degli Arancie in Foggia, Italy and the Scuola Albergheria in Florence, Italy. He specializes in the cuisines of Puglia and Tuscany and is known for his authentic dishes from those regions.
Catering
La Rosticceria offers carryout catering for any size event or celebration. Our catering menu offers a wide selection of hot and cold hors d'oeurves, soups, salads, entrees, vegetables and desserts. Sandwich platters, cold cut platters, antipasto platters and cold salads are also available. We are happy to assist you in planning a customized menu for your event.
